PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a hard-working, organised individual, with a great work ethic and a determination to achieve. Through my experience working with a part-time job as well as partaking in full-time education at college, I can organise my time efficiently whilst maintaining a balanced life.  I am also creatively driven within my work as floor manager last year at university where I am in charge of what happens on the studio floor. This has improved my confidence skills as well as honed my abilities to work within a team. Being an aspiring Production Manager means i am not only a confident character but can also work well well in a team environment.

WORK HISTORY
May 2018
North One Television - Runner

I was fortunate enough to complete work experience with North One Television whilst they were filming the first few episodes of The Gadget Show in 2018. This was the most amazing opportunity as I was able to experience industry standard professionals and environments that I am hoping to become a part of in the future.

February 2018

Cass Productions - Office Runner
For two weeks during February I was able to complete work experience with a small production company in Eastleigh, Hampshire. During my time at this media company I was able to assist on shoots, work in the office and help with editing of content that we had from our shoot in London.

December 2016 - Present
The Chilworth Arms - Kitchen Staff
Within my job at this pub I have gained many skills from health and safety training to working in a stressful environment during busy shifts and events held at the establishment. I have also developed my skills within the kitchen, progressing from KP to Starter Chef over the summer of 2018.

OTHER EXPERIENCE

  • The Scouting Organisation has given me the opportunity to become part of a team and to be a part of some amazing experiences. I have been in the Scouting Movement since I was 6 as I have been through all the sections up until Explorers, where I have most recently left and am preparing to become a leader.
    • In 2015 I went to the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan with a group of 39 other scouts and leaders.
    • Recently in 2016 I also went to Malawi with scouts from across Hampshire on a volunteering trip helping refurbish a school and a library in a local town called Kavusi.
  • At Birmingham City University I am currently studying Media and Communications (television), and throughout this course I have been partaking in modules that cover different areas of the media. In television, I have been able to explore and develop my abilities with camera equipment and within my role as part of a production team.

These experiences have helped my confidence and my abilities to work within a team and with those from different nationalities across the globe and have opened my eyes to what other people value, and taught me many different life skills along the way. I believe that through these different experiences I have become a dependent and interesting individual with diverse capabilities in different areas of life.
